The article considers Cervantes's classical work through the prism of retrotopia, as understood in late Bauman. Retrotopia is a double negation of utopia, an attempt to return to an imaginary past, which usually happens in the face of an uncertain future. The first part of the article indicates a clear analogy between the conceptualization of retrotopia and Don Quixote's key themes. This paper provides a first consideration of the dissemination and impact of the novels by Sebastiano Erizzo and Niccolò Granucci in the Spanish Golden Age, focusing on two of their main works, Le sei giornate (1567) and La piacevol notte et lieto giorno (1574), respectively. The characteristics of the identified copies, some coincidences with texts by Lope and Cervantes, and the information collected on the circulation of these two works, whose focus on morality may have favoured their dissemination, lead to the suggestion that their novels had a certain influence on Spanish literature. En este trabajo se presenta un estudio acerca de la edición de los Diálogos escolares de Juan Luis Vives que el humanista toledano Francisco Cervantes de Salazar pasó por la imprenta de Juan Pablos en la recién fundada ciudad de México de los conquistadores en el año 1554. Fue la primera vez que Vives es editado en el continente americano debido principalmente a la necesidad del profesor de retórica de la recién fundada universidad novohispana de utilizar los breves diálogos para uso pedagógico en su desarrollo docente.
